If you're in Sheffield, we can deliver by hand, on foot, to any address in the city encircled by the blue line (and we're happy to gift-wrap books, if you like, at no extra cost). This might be useful for any last-minute Christmas orders (last day to order via this method is Tuesday 23 Dec).

#thearchers what's happened to the potential romance between Josh+daughter* of the recently deceased farmer who no-one had ever heard of before...plus are the folks of Brookfield still helping her out in terms of running the farm? or has the Ambridge Fairy stepped in and solved the problem?

Earlier this year, we published 'To the End of the Land', a text & audio collaboration between Martin Heslop & Helen Tookey, grounded in the landscapes of Nova Scotia. Apt for winter reading (and listening).

#thearchers and please let Shula's inspection be a silent one - it's bad enough listening to George moaning on without having to hear her as well...

#thearchers just how big is the surgery and how many people work there? - I was under the impression it was a converted house as opposed to purpose built...+if Lily is off to Oz shortly why haven't we heard Lizzie+Freddie wailing about it+ shouldn't she have handed her notice in by now?

100 Draculas on Screen has been released just in time for the holidays. Featuring interviews with the actors, directors, and writers, such as Guy Maddin, Dolly Wells, Rudolph Martin, and Patrick Bergin, that gave undead life to the immortal Count. It’s Draculicious!

Just for any academics, let me be clear, Hookland is anti-nostalgic. It's an exploration and exorcism of my childhood, not a celebration of falsely remembered sunshine. Nostalgia is a warping gravity.

I think it is crazy to think that Trump was complicit in the violent riots of 6th January - what the BBC did was so misleading - if he really saw those people as his fighting army he would have pardoned all 1600 of those convicted or waiting trial on the first day of his second term

Sad to say - we have had to cancel 9 Lessons in Cardiff - Cardiff just wasn’t very interested and we still had very low sales at the beginning of the week - we never make money on the shows , but we can’t afford to lose £1000s - sorry to those of you who were looking forward to it
We always try to get Nine Lessons shows beyond London - it is never profitable but we hope it makes it accessible for others - This year is CARDIFF - but no one seems to want to come - so we will pull it next week if we see that it is going to lose us too much money

Sadly , post lockdown - live shows are becoming less and less viable for so many performers - I have many friends , critically revered and fabulous , who are seeing huge drops in their ability to sell - the mainstream dominates - the arenas lap up money and numbers

You love your country by enacting policies that lift people out of poverty, that protect women from violent men in their own homes, that ensure schoolchildren have healthy meals, that redistribute wealth from top to bottom and strengthen social solidarity and cohesion. Blind nationalism does f all.
