Happy Easter!
A few days ago I refurbished a new container. For those that want to do something green, it's one of the few hobbies that's not that pricey. Here's how I save costs and trips to home Depot.

Quetzal wins!!!!

In a close race for first bloom of the year, "Quetzal" my oldest plant baby from 2019, a double knockout star rose tree has beaten "Molly" my largest and most productive Mr. Lincoln shrub.

Update on my diy landscape project! Today, I'm removing rocks from my soil. I'm using rainwater, the net that came with my rain barrel and physics.
I didn't want to waste a bunch of water so I'm using caught rainwater only!

Progress update on my sunflower bed. Lots of saplings in the completed section, I think this is going to look awesome when it's done.

After I pulled some of the winter mounding off, I noticed Percy is sprouting some leaves... On a spot where he/they broke last fall!

Broken things can be fixed with a bit of love, care and time.

They grow up so fast!
I cloned my first rose last year, now it gets a container upgrade.

Progress!

I'm building one of the walls of my new flower box. It's tough not to break the branches, but diligence, patience and care go a long way.

I post these things not just because they're cool, but to show that anyone can learn to do anything with focus and care.

Progress pic! One wall of my new flower pot (or compost bin if it turns out bad)

Gonna weave thinner sticks through the frame

I'm finally recovered from surgery! Back to my projects!

A neighbor was pruning branches in the fall and I asked for his debris.

It's either going to be a compost bin or flower pot, depending on how pretty I can weave the branches lol

Base color for my new DnD map. Looks like a bunch of nothing now, but it takes a whole lot of nothing to make something.

Working on dungeon maps for wild beyond the witchlight

I found this awesome tree trunk in my yard I can use for a dungeon map. Even though it's a small tree, to a player token it will be this cool world tree in a swamp like LOZ ocarina or ATLA

Meet Percy! On nice days like this it's good to get outside and DO something. Gotta stop doomscrolling and do something physical

Testing my handmade sift! It works!!!

I needed to clean my soil, so I built the tool I need to do it.

What other tools can we build to make our visions reality?
November 19, 2024 at 10:13 PM
Took about 7 hours first try. It's a customized sift.

I'm adding a new in ground bed, but the soil is full of construction remnants, rocks and bricks.

Colandar grain size was too small.

If we want things, we have to be ready to do what it takes to see it through.

More projects to come

We can create the resources we need for free! We don't need to get everything from Amazon and other big corps that want to abuse us.

A neighbor pruned some trees and instead of trashing the branches, they let me take them!

This one is a sift.
