REVEALED: only 5% of Forestry Commission grants for woodland creation have been spent on the natural regeneration of trees, while the remaining 95% is spent on tree planting.

The government needs to change the rules.

My FOI request & comment in the Guardian:

Government ‘failing to support natural regeneration of trees in England’
Campaigners say targets for woodland creation are unlikely to be met because 95% of grants are for planting

Nigel Farage & Lee Anderson may not mind chlorinated chicken, but the vast, vast majority of Brits think US food standards are bloody disgusting

Chilling warning from Fiona Hill - let's not forget, Putin's biographer before she went to work for Trump in his first term. She knows the signs of growing authoritarianism, and she sees them in the US now.
Remember Fiona Hill? She’s now sounding the alarm again: “We’re definitely on a path toward full-on state repression. There’s no question about it. I’ve thought about this for an extraordinarily long time.” When Fiona speaks, we should all listen.

Morning bluesky lovelies. It's still morning here in the UK. Here's a picture of my elderly cat Amber a couple of years ago, now 24. She's basking in the morning sun.
