Hey guys! I going to start by sharing here some reviews of musical releases (mainly Metal) books and movies that I like; stay free to check out and comment on what you like, but please don't feel obligated to follow/like to this account. Thank you very much and welcome 2025!
A quite intricate web of crimes which leads to be solved by a young female cop under the mentoring of a quadriplegic homicide detective; well elaborated and focused in the drama behind the two main protagonists, the puzzle unfolds in a significant lesson for life. Also a Christmas movie.

Among the many interpretations/POVs one can take from this narrative, I chose the heavy meaning of hope; in a deeply manipulated society, the fragility of will is in a constant game where speech duels against acts - and the eternal duality between them. A very reflective movie!

First time watching it - I'm right at the part of the plot-twist now! It's a great movie so far.
The utter classic horror narrative about a serial killer whose victims (all women) dies in pieces - lots of gore, fun and practical FXs like any shocking movie from the 80s! The influence from Italian cinema is quite flagrant - from frames to OST, e/thg matching like a glove! Solid!

#NowWatching Mil gritos tiene la noche (Pieces) (1982).
Just vibing in the dark while watching old cartoons.

Life can be that simple sometimes.
After near 2 decades, Hooded Menace finally mastered their somophore approach where Doom parts just embrace the OSDM; while many keep digging onto barren, waste soil, the Finnishs understood the laws of their own game, using a quite captivating structure in their advantage! Their best!

Tetragrammacide rerurns abusing from a quite muffled, crooked production which reflects in what these Indians seek; a turmoil of creativity where BM meets a very welcoming DM sauce, e/thg engulfed in a sort of indomitable sonic barrier virtually indestructible! Casuals, keep out!

If I could summarize the whole movie in a single word, it colud be 'grief'; a possible racial/religious hate view aside, the plot is quite dramatic when pokes the Bosnian war occurred around 40ya, witnessed by the eyes of a mercenary & all kind of absurds he faced; a great narrative!

A highly sophisticated/methodical narrative about a serial killer whose delusional vision puts into perspective the eccentricities of a disturbed mind; although challenging to track, the plot is gripping at its peak, only lacking a punch when it goes noddy; fitting for enthusiasts.

#NowWatching The House That Jack Built (2018).
While not exactly original in terms of narrative, the GREAT cinematography wt incredible shots/angles is undoubtedly the highlight of this film; the eloquent plot is expressed in a vivid & clear development, leading to solid yet dramatic performances until to the very climax! Incredible!

#NowWatching ชัตเตอร์ กดติดวิญญาณ (Shutter) (2004).
After a considerable hiatus, Brazilian thrashers Violator return wt possibly their best work ever! Sepultura's undeniably distinctive touch permeates e/thg—from the old-school grip to production, filling the material wt an insatiable hunger! A sonic massacre, lightning-fast & violent!

A disturbing narrative about the destructive behavior of 4 characters - each one wt their own private hell, confined in a fragile ideology heavily shattered by a cruel reality; seeing it from the perspective of addicted people is just too plain, since the movie goes deeper in many ways.

Saw it a couple of weeks ago - great movie!
An allegory about what humankind do since the dawn of time: to persecute and destroys a/thg they consider a threat; through a bend in time/space, three ape-like intelligent figures from future landed in our age, being captured & forced to speak what gonna happens to us next... Far solid!

#NowWatching Escape From The Planet Of The Apes (1971).
Somber & very influenced by the Scandinavian BM epitome from early 90s, new Vulthum presents an icy, barbaric Dark Metal where medieval licks connect a characteristic raw savagery of Brazilian acts wt deep, atmospheric elements from the past! A valuable effort made to praise the hordes!

More HM-oriented, yet full of a catchy Thrashy pressure, new Void values a quite energetic, technical approach where the sonic main elements remain easy to follow like its predecessor! Crazy but intuitive solos, nice melodies & powerful/inventive kitchen makes it a step ahead! Great!

It really nails when conjuring that asphyxiating, gashling atmosphere full of doomy passages/licks, but it's in the festering OSDM where things get really serious, pushing away a/one who feels uncomfortable wt the menacing grip! Disturbing & decaying, peaking structure overall! Super!
