Global News and Squire Barnes do the same thing every year. They highlight and celebrate highschool football provincials. They never mention other highschool sports. Volleyball, across all schools and girls/boys all had their championships this weekend. Why is football the only sport mentioned?

So hockey continues to suck. One of the disgusting 5 is starting in goal in Vegas and another one has been signed by the Hurricanes affiliate. Gross, gross, gross……Their actions were abhorrent regardless of the trial outcome but the NHL seems a-ok with it

Sometimes I think I’m a decent photographer and then I see pics professionals take and I’m humbled. Just got sent this one of the kid at her vball tournament this past week. It’s pretty amazing.

Kid got a really great offer to play Uni VBall on the weekend but it’s at a school that is in like the least desirable location. Ugh

I’m a plant nerd. I’m going to school for horticulture. I have lots of plants. It’s always exciting when the ones I’m propagating start to grow into little baby plants. I have 12 of these Alocasia Amazonica on the go and they are looking great. So exciting. Now I just have to find homes for them

I’m coming to the conclusion that there needs to be massive amounts of unionization in North America. Like every big box retailer needs to be unionized, every fast food franchise needs to be unionized, every grocery store needs to be unionized.

UBC had a deadline for early applications yesterday. Their system crashed because loads of people were trying to submit last night. Parents at my kids school are panicking. My question is why did you wait until 2 hrs before the deadline to submit. Time management is a valuable skill.

If a company sends me a survey about the service I received. You better believe I am going to fill it out and that usually is not a good thing. Generally means the service was absolute shit.

Why, why are people (let be real it’s men) so toxic when it comes to sports. The F1 race yesterday was fun b/c the championship is right down to the wire. One mistake by a driver at the end of the race has now resulted in him blacking out his socials b/c of death threats. WTF?

Cool cool, I’ve been sitting on uncomfortable bleachers for most of the week, I just want to get home…..flight delayed for an hour from YLW b/c the govt can’t get its act together and hire some air traffic controllers. Ugh.

And that is a wrap on the kids highschool vball career. Finished out provincials not as well as they would have liked but they still made great strides this yr. Now it’s on to club season

The Provincial vball championships start today. Kids team is ranked 5th in the province going in. It’s going to be a tough couple of days but hoping for a great tournament.
