I’m a queer watercolor and ink artist in Columbus, Ohio. I grew up in the science fiction and fantasy community (my dad’s a published author) and come by my nerdiness honestly. I love supporting other art accounts to help build each other up as well as get/give feedback. Hi!

Been too long since I posted so here’s a quick taste of what I’ve been making! The set of square winter monsters is getting printed as greeting cards as we speak. Next up are WindyCon 51 in Chicago Nov 7-9 and Columbus Winterfair Dec 5-7 so if you see something you like come by and say hi! 🎨

I was given the opportunity to live paint at a small fall festival this past Sunday as a promotion for my solo exhibition at Granville Center for the Arts. I had a ton of fun, and always enjoy getting to chat with people about my process. Here’s what came out of it! 🎨

All my previous little monster paintings have found homes as of Saturday. So I painted a few new ones to keep this going. All previous paintings will live on as buttons. 🎨

Experimenting with gouache a bit this week. Was getting frustrated with the slowness required, struggling with it not looking like what I’m used to with watercolor, so I started adding silly creatures til it was fun again. Don’t ask why they all have 1 eye. They just do. 🎨

Started this 16x20 watercolor at Westerville’s 4th Friday. Finished it a week ago, just took this long to convince myself it was done. Title yet to be determined, ideas welcome. There’s tons of little Easter eggs to find in this one, and according to a teenager I apparently painted Ed Sheeran

I was the live demo artist at Westerville’s for Friday arts Alley this past weekend and started in on a new large painting, the idea for which has been sitting in my sketchbook untouched for like a year. I think it’s coming along nicely. How about you?

Did some live painting at Art on the Commons in Kettering the other day. Here’s the results! The 4x10 I just had some fun with, the 8x8 I was loosely painting the view from my booth until my 0 shade, direct sunlight booth space made me start melting to death. 🎨

Very slow festival up in Toledo, so I spent some time painting in what shade I could find. Here’s the results. 🎨

A bunch more minis and some of the panoramic 1x8 minis I finished at the studio today. That makes 46 little 1.5in square paintings completed since Thurs night + 8 skinny guys. Now my brain wants me to make it an even 50…😂

Been making minis all day since after last weekend’s festival I only had 4 left. Between the 10 I made last night and the 24 I made today I MIGHT have enough to last me thru next weekend. Gonna try and get some more of these plus a few of the 1x8 panoramas done tomorrow. 🎨

After the success of my last couple events, getting low on smalls, so guess how I’m spending my weekend “off” from festivals 😂 This was another set of smalls using a randomly pulled color cube card for the palette 🎨

Day 1 of Worthington Arts Fest down! Had a lot of fun, lots of art found new homes, and I met a lot of lovely humans. Heading back to do it all again tomorrow 11-5!

The Columbus chapter of Urban Sketchers visited the Community Artists of Westerville meeting tonight and led us through a session of urban sketching. I think it came out pretty nice for a ~45-50 min sketch. Micron pen and watercolor.
