Ever since I learned about how Europe taxes vehicles to encourage smaller vehicles I wish the US had similar taxes. But all these European regulations and tests are way cool too. #vehiclesafety

I've started running again. First time since May I've felt injury free and first time running in over 2 months, a few test runs. Today the muscles are all telling me it was good. Gonna run again today. So good to be able to run with dogs again. #runchat
Got a running brag! Let's hear it! #RunChat

The knees. Never had a problem with them and I've played many sports. #runchat
#RunChat Q6: What’s the biggest injury-related myth you’ve heard in the running community?
November 24, 2025 at 4:48 PM
Does walking and hiking count? I do those regardless of injury. #runchat
#RunChat Q5: What’s a cross-training activity you like to do when you’re sidelined with an injury?
November 24, 2025 at 4:44 PM
Definitely foot shaped minimalist footwear. My favorite, even in winter with snow, is Luna Sandals.
Modern over cushioned shoes were invented in the 1970s and now everyone is either injured or knows an injured runner. Currently, one of super shoe companies is being sued for injury. #runchat
#RunChat Q4: What's a shoe (or shoe change) that you feel helped reduce or prevent an injury for you?
November 24, 2025 at 4:42 PM
Walking/hiking and lots of it. If you can't run at least stay in shape. #runchat
#RunChat Q3: What’s an effective rehab exercise or stretch that you’ve used for a running injury?
November 24, 2025 at 4:38 PM
Hard to explain, but if you've done enough runs you get to know every muscle in your body and when they are not doing okay. The hard part is distinguishing between fatitigue and injury. If it doesn't clear up in couple days that's definitely concerning. #runchat
#RunChat Q2: What’s one early-warning sign of an injury that you wish you hadn’t ignored?
November 24, 2025 at 4:37 PM
Can't remember my last running injury and certainly nothing since I've been wearing minimalist and barefoot footwear. #runchat
Hey #RunChat friends! This week we're going to talk about injuries.

Q1: What running injury took you the longest to recover from? What finally helped you turn the corner?

Casio G-shock with solar charging and automatic time setting. Then a notebook to record runs. One is these years I'll streak the year or actually run the entire year and set a time record that I can beat a few years in a row. #runchat
#RunChat Q6: What watch and/or running apps do you currently use?

More clothing as needed and the local running club changes Tuesday Night Track Club to a location that I can run too. Love me some Tuesday speed. #runchat
#RunChat Q5: Do you change up your routine at all in the fall?
November 3, 2025 at 1:54 AM
Since I'm not running I'll be looking forward to my first run. Thinking Thanksliving Day. Would be great if there is snow by then. #runchat
#RunChat Q4: With less than 2 months left in 2025, what running goals do you have to check off this year?
November 3, 2025 at 1:52 AM
I love big cities and quiet forests. I'll take some Portland and, never been to, Seattle. #runchat
💭 #RunChat Q2: If you could run anywhere in the world right now, where would it be?
November 3, 2025 at 1:50 AM
Don't have a specific race, but I want to do another marathon. Maybe Boulder Marathon. Not a big racer since I can run for free and live so close to some beautiful hills. #runchat
Let's have a full hour #RunChat! If you see this later, check out our posts and continue the conversations!
Q1:🏅 What’s one race that’s still on your bucket list?

I think I finally got over grocery shopping being an event I enjoy and take my time at. The last few months I've been getting it done quick and prioritizing other things. My eating is more simple and less snacking. Feel I'm losing weight I gained in the first year or two of covid emergency. #runchat

Studies show patients were 4 times more likely to have a heart attack and 5 times more likely to have a stroke in the month after flu.

With COVID-19, the risk was 3 times higher for both conditions in the first few months and remained elevated for up to one year.

I don't know I don't have that problem. Running is never boring. Sometimes tough, but I like challenges. I'm usually liking for the runner or biker ahead to have a target, especially on hills and trails. #runchat
#RunChat Q6: What a mental trick you do when you need a boost during a tough run?
October 20, 2025 at 1:00 AM
None. The few times I've tried running with music I'd hate every song after about 15 seconds. Lol. My song is enjoying the world around me and taking notice of all the wild animals. #runchat
#RunChat Q5: What's a song you could listen to on every run?
