We do not eat a credit card’s worth of plastic a week. This doesn’t pass even the most basic sniff test but also the paper everyone is quoting doesn’t even say that we ingest that much plastic and I’m sick of hearing it in credible places!!!

Democrats MUST step up and do what Republicans did during their time as the minority party. Dems need to make passing laws as inconvenient as possible. Not just one or two filibusters peppered throughout the legislative session, but articles of impeachment, hard filibusters, more.

I started volunteering this year. It's a great way to feel connected to people around you and a no-barrier-to-entry way to learn new skills and meet new people you can see consistently. Even if things in the macro are bad, it's good to remember you can still find community and joy.
Finding ways to be of use to your neighborhood isn't an antidote to the suffering or precarity we're all enduring, but it may help reduce the nihilism and poison damage building up in your system a little.
