Paramount wants to acquire Warner Bros. Discovery. If the potential acquisition goes through, the Ellisons would have a media empire. The Ellisons already answer to Trump with their CBS programming. We are moving dangerously close to government run media.

Congratulations on this award! CBS has lost me forever as a viewer. I will watch the Late Show until Colbert's last night then I will boycott CBS. I miss Elsbeth and Matlock already but w/the hiring of Bari Weiss and firing of Colbert, I'm done. Freedom and democracy. You have to make a stand.

CBS is a "Trump approved" television network. The owners, the Ellisons, are big Trump supporters. They have hired an ombudsman to review complaints about news coverage. Some shows have their premieres tonight. I won't be watching. I won't watch a politically motivated network.

How could it possibly be okay with the majority of Republicans to allow the horrific injustices happening to their fellow Americans? Why are they not speaking up? What is the reasoning behind it. Not every Republican is MAGA, and only a small percentage are billionaires.

I have written and deleted a lot of posts but I keep thinking about how the brutal assassination of Minnesota State senator Melissa Hortman, her husband Mark, and their beloved dog Gilbert in June did not prompt this same level of calls for empathy, sympathy, and flags at half-mast.
