The 2007 Griffith Park Fire, which I vividly recall, was a remarkable event. Two helicopter crews, braving the strong winds and darkness, managed to save Los Feliz from the inferno of 100-foot-high flames. It was an awe-inspiring sight.
The most badass pilots in the world are the men and women doing air drops from choppers and fixed wing aircraft over the fires.
If Tom Cruise makes a Top Gun 3, it should be about them.
