This is one of the best movies of last year. I think people didn’t realize it was a folk horror and didn’t understand what they were getting into so it’s been unfairly maligned. Hopefully streaming will bring it a better audience.

Just learned of Tom Stoppard’s death. It took Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead for me to finally begin to appreciate Shakespeare. Before that, it seemed impenetrable text forced upon us by English teachers. Stoppard was my Rosetta Stone. He made it accessible. R.I.P.

Not only has there been a remake with Steve Martin (Roxane), a recent more faithful remake with Peter Dinklage (Cyrano), but there have been not one but TWO set in high school recently (Sierra Burgess is a Loser and The Half of It)
It’s a more popular story than I realized

Devastated to hear of Udo Kier’s passing. He was a singular talent who would appear in high profile films like Breaking the Waves or My Own Private Idaho then you’d put on German Chainsaw Massacre or Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated and there he was. The film world will miss him. #R.I.P.

One would almost think they didn’t want to end the situation OR they knew what’s going to happen when the narrative gets beyond their control. An investigation would prove who’s really a lying manipulative sack of shit, right? So why wouldn’t someone want that?

It’s so disappointing that refriending some people didn’t prove I’m still standing and instead of rushing to tell me who was back stabbing me & giving me evidence to go to the police to start criminal charges, my old friends seem more concerned with seeing how much I know and what I’m doing next.

You know what tv show I still think about that was cancelled too soon? The After Party on Apple TV. That show was hilarious and had such a great, original premise.
