Is there a commonly accepted "formal" way to write about crack in official documents? I am using "crack cocaine" but I'm wondering if that's correct?

Did you know that if you are experiencing interpersonal violence, you are entitled to 5 paid days off work to get help?

It is written into Manitoba labour law.

One of the drums I am going to keep beating is that the US needs to submit to the jurisdiction of the ICJ.

Right now, we live in a time in which the president is immune and can grant immunity to basically anyone he wants. They are acting accordingly.

This is happening tonight and was made approximately 2 weeks ago. In that time, at least 5 people have been hit by drivers, and only 4 of those have survived. We have less than a million people in this city, and that's 2 weeks in the inner city. This should be an emergency.

Very interesting that like 9/10 of the fields the US Dept of Ed no longer considers "professional programs" are mandatory reporters.

I don't mean to brag, but I had a delightful office lunch today. Cottage pie, dill pickles, a crisp fridge cigarette (aka a Diet Coke).

The provincial throne speech was spoken in English in Winnipeg today, but for the first time ever, copies of the speech were handed out in Anishinaabemowin.

The speech focused on health care, the drug crisis in Manitoba and the Port of Churchill.

Yesterday I cut my leg and needed stitches. Off I went to Victoria Hospital Urgent Care. Despite it being a busy Saturday night, I was stitched up and headed home in under 3 hours! Thank you to Nurse Pindy and Nurse Practitioner Alanna, you were kind, quick, and it didn't even hurt!
