Polygon introduced me to my best friends, brought me to NYC, and gave me the life I’m so eternally grateful to live now.

Deeply devastating, and it means a bunch of reporters, writers, and editors (+ video!) will soon be available to hire. They are everything.

Polygon forever and always.

Not to mention that, unsurprisingly, The Dress being a viral moment from Buzzfeed but having the conversation play out on early social (mainly Twitter and Facebook) was all the engagement learning data needed to train algorithms to produce More Of That Whenever Possible, Natural or Manufactured.
Was literally talking to a friend about this last night. The majority of what went viral before The Dress went viral because it reflected some kind of consensus — this is good, this is interesting, this is relatable. After The Dress, virality was permanently changed into a measurement of conflict.
The Dress was the end of objective reality as we knew it, imo
