First, Donald Trump used the Marines and the National Guard to support his mass deportation agenda in Los Angeles.

Now, he's using similar tactics in D.C. like a tinpot dictator.

Don't look away. Don't stay silent. If you do, don't be surprised if it's your city next.

Been rewatching all the Jurassic Park movies in order with Smalls. And each time I think, “do these people not know that dinosaur island is full of dinosaurs? And that dinosaurs are big?”

I used to think it was a wee bit unbelievable but after the last couple of years…

I’ve changed my mind.

If second-term Trump does actually get a nuclear accord with Iran, which actually prevents war with Iran, many - including on the left - will want to credit & praise him.

And yet we are only on the brink of war because first-term Trump tore up Obama’s nuclear deal with in 2017!

It's sad that these old men who have just a bunch of years ahead of them and who live in opulence and total safety, are the ones who are deciding the course of history for decades to come, dropping bombs, destroying democracies and building concentration camps.

Gates has just pledged to give "most of his wealth away by 2045".

First of all, that's 20 years from now, which means he might be long dead by then.

Second, like, why not TODAY, man?

It's a scam. Don't fall for it.

Everyone is now cheering on the possible closer ties between China and the EU, specifically Chinese electric vehicles.

And I get it. It hurts Musk, and Musk has been a very bad actor on the world stage.

That said, China is a horrific authoritarian regime. Please, do not ever forget that.

The mainstream parties are so used to being mainstream that they hardly ever speak about our values anymore, only as part of formal speeches.

Well, human rights are no longer the mainstream. We're the opposition now. Speak up. Be loud. Fill up space.

The problem is that nothing happens to Trump. The dude is a convicted felon, and yet - he is now the President of the United States of America.

And you think insider trading is going to take him down? Please 🤦
The most corrupt administration in American history wants you to look the other way from this.

We can't. We need answers.

Stocks dropped 14.5% from their highs since Trump’s tariff announcement

They’ve now recovered 9.4%, and are still down 6.4% from their high.

Trump is calling this a victory, despite nothing being “fixed” about trade and despite countries giving Trump nothing.

What exactly is the victory?

I can't in all honesty believe any Trump supporter who says they now regret their vote. And not because I think they're lying but because their regret is not worth much. Their regret about Trump is temporary, their support for him is permanent.

It is very important to understand: Trump is in no way special. Some of our conservative relatives are capable of being the same kind of horrifying bully if only they had power. But they don't, so they end up being that annoying person you typically see at Thanksgiving dinner.

At least for a while, Trump's brand had at least some promise. Maybe, just maybe his brashness will do some good? It was a long shot but even us, progressives, at times wondered... what if?

Everyone knows that what Trump is doing is complete nonsense. And yet, no one wants to stop him. Republicans choose not to stop him. They actually can. But they don't want to. It's a choice.

The USSR was a totalitarian regime with no respect for human rights that was blocking Voice of America with all its might.

Today, in 2025, America's own authoritarian government has shut down the radio station that was set up during World War Two to counter Nazi propaganda.

Notice how strict Trump's administration is towards Ukraine and Zelenskyy, and how soft they are on Putin. Russia has essentially rebuffed the ceasefire offer, and yet Trump still says "talks with Putin were positive".
