Calling all Stokies! Spread the word. Can you help reach 100 books in 100 words? Celebrate Stoke's centenary by building its first literary cannon 💥🔥❤️
Officially launching '100 Books in a 100 Years' - a centenary project for Stoke-on-Trent that is hoping to recover 100 separate Potteries-born authored publications from 1925-2025 to present the first literary canon to the city.

Hooray for libraries! Did you know that writers receive a small payment for each time their book is borrowed during the year? And we also get a big warm glow at the thought of so many people sharing our work. ❤️

Open for business. Ignore the scaffolding
Well, we've flirted with it before, as have many indie retailers, but today, the day came.

We have had our first ZERO day. That's right. We sold nothing.

Scaffolding makes a difference - we ARE open and we also sell online.

The rules are simple:

• set a timer for 15 minutes. Work for this set time.
•when alarm goes off, get up, leave your desk and set timer for another 15 minutes. Now, do a DIFFERENT task. Cleaning, bird watching, laundry, whatever, but must be a Task
•when alarm goes off, return to your desk. Repeat
Absolutely furious to report that @ldlapinski.bsky.social’s 15 minutes work /15 minutes rest timer idea led me to finish my edits one entire day early. My ADHD brain is just a stupid dog looking for rewards.
