We have something similar in our district (WA state) but it's a partnership with business & tribal & church entities. Any student may have breakfast or lunch at school & all classrooms supplies are provided to teachers so no one has to buy. Those in need can also shop the free clothing exchange.

Medicare for All would save $450B a year.

Every dollar spent on food stamps generates $1.50-$1.80 in economic activity.

Each dollar going to low-wage workers adds $1.20 to the economy overall.

It’s not about what this country can or can’t afford.

It’s about priorities.

The Big Scary Radical Left Agenda
•
Equality Under the Law; no person is above the law. For real.
•
Law that is Just and Fair, due process for all.
•
Universal Healthcare, no middle-man insurance taking a cut or making health decisions.
•
Safe, secure food supply. Children should not go hungry because of politics or economics; there’s plenty of food to go around.
•
Corporations are not people. They are instruments, constructs. Take away “personhood” rights of anything that doesn’t breathe and bleed.
•
Election finance reform. Public funded with limited private donations from registered voters only. It should not cost so much to hold an election. Electioneering permitted no more than 9 months before election day. No more constant campaigning for years on end. Election results not announced for a minimum of 72 hours after election day.
•
Representative government that prioritizes healthy environments and people - with fully vetted public servants who understand they work for THE PEOPLE; not lobbies, which should have strict limits.
•
Term limits and age limits for all federal positions, including the court. Gov’t should be more representative of the electorate, which doesn’t have an average age of 85.
•
Gun reform. There’s lots of room for improvement and safeguards. Starting with, children shouldn’t be murdered in schools and parks and homes because of the politics and culture identity wars of adults.
•
Tax reform. Graduated tax tables so the rich and wealthiest pay their fair share. Corporate tax structures that are fair. Also, examining third party costs which have been shifted to the public.
•
Free public education, Pre-K through high school. Free 1-year trade schools, junior college, apprenticeship programs. National Service tuition program for post-secondary college students.

Sorry, but this is too close to reality to be satire.
But I get it, so many of the MAGA ICE personnel are nothing but grown ass boys play acting out their fantasies with costumes provided buy OUR TAX DOLLARS. They've likely got plenty of dress up and accessories in private home collections as well.

I'm thought a socialist or communist because I know that when my community does better, I also do better.

Also, kids shouldn't starve because of politics or economics. There is more than enough food in this world.

We need to keep close track of his messages and appearances, they'll pull more and more Weekend at Bernie maneuvers, just watch.

Made the mistake of perusing the headlines this morning. He wants to test nukes for the first time in 30 years AND National Guard begin training for widespread civil unrest.

There's no bottom lately.

Yes, we can do both. Except, not without Republican help (for now!). Please, please, when/if Dems get control, make sure to strengthen the guardrails because they're obviously not strong enough. AND, expand the Supreme Court. AND, prosecute those lawbreakers who are disappearing people willy nilly.
