I really REALLY hope that it's actually Lilith and not a disguise. I want her to be a complex character that has her own motives that we don't understand yet. I almost feel like hiding her face is a red herring to have the audience questioning her true identity.

I think their experience is still different in the sense that Lucifer was an Angel prior to falling. But Lilith was a human, so it's possible she may have simply been more resilient than him because that's kind of what humanity does.
