many years ago i was catsitting Freddie, who was 25 years old, completely deaf, and from Jakarta (ambassador's cat). i turned my back for 0.2 seconds and when i turned around again, Freddie had stolen an entire ham sandwich off a plate, with unbelievable speed and stealth. be like Freddie and Beans.

in happy personal news—godfather's new parkinson's meds are working. he greeted me WITHOUT HIS WALKER dancing in the foyer and i burst into tears. but i was unwell for lunch/movie so drove home, then my finger slipped and after months of threatening it, accidentally collected new 80 pg book of poems
