If the captain of any of those small boats are capable of reaching the U.S., we should me him/her Secretary of the Navy. Also, more Americans die annually from alcohol than drug overdoses so what the heck are we doing!?! All sound & fury signifying bullshit.

The distance between any port in Venezuela and the closest mainland US port is between 1,500-2,000 nautical miles. The fishing boats being blown up could never reach the US without refueling in the middle of the ocean. We’re not at war. This is nothing but premeditated cold blooded murder.

My tribute to my dad, who passed away last month in the UK.

He was a proud Indian immigrant *and* a proud British citizen.

His life story is one long rebuttal to the nativists, bigots and xenophobes.

When policy and business judgement is treated as corruption, reform stalls. Indonesia must protect accountability without criminalising good-faith decisions, writes @dikurniawanarif.

Corruption prosecutions are choking Indonesia’s reform ambition
High-profile prosecutions of Indonesia’s technocrats are reshaping incentives across government and business. When good-faith decisions are treated as crimes, reform, investment and innovation all suffer.

How you can do that with this odious man loudly blathering right next to you is, however, a mystery to modern science.
