Really sad I can’t watch live the online conference I was attending today. My terrible body is conspiring against me. Hopefully if I feel better later I can rejoin, but right now I just can’t concentrate. Fortunately, though, it is being recorded so I can watch in my own time. Still annoying!

When people talk about the excesses of MeToo, they have to lie, because the reality is that there was no massive social reckoning forcing people to believe survivors or hold perpetrators accountable. In fact, there has been a significant backsliding and new punishments in rejection of MeToo

If we define conservatism as (mostly) preserving the status quo, then liberal feminism is conservative as it only looks for women to ‘lean in’ to the current neoliberal (or fascist) system.
Nothing much changes except for privileged women gaining the right to oppress.
