I like this. Pointing out the “cheers on the street outside” moves this beyond politics. It’s about knowing that he doesn’t just have the backing of a PM or most of our MPs. He has the backing of many millions of people across the UK.

I like this. Pointing out the “cheers on the street outside” moves this beyond politics. It’s about knowing that he doesn’t just have the backing of a PM or most of our MPs. He has the backing of many millions of people across the UK.

It’s wild that the govt is going to give tech firms a massive fair-use get-out clause in a country where it remains illegal for a consumer to rip a CD they bought to MP3.

A first for me, 2020 MacBook Air with no display, opened it up to find the remnants of a bug, earwig maybe, that had committed harakiri on the logicboard and taken out 6 caps on the backlight circuit! After extracting the remains of the bug (ugh) and replacing the blown caps it’s all good again.

Be aware that if you install ITVX on your mobile, it also secretly goes ahead and installs a browser extension.
(The fact that it is deactivated by default is immaterial. It's the principle that matters. And who's to say a future update to ITVX won't activate it?)

1. Go to Apple Menu > System Settings > WiFi > Details > Hardware.
2. Click on Configure and then set the MTU to 1280.
3. Click OK.
