I don't think they should have done Kiwami 3 if they didn't have the time or resources to do it justice. I'm fine w smaller projects like Pirate Yakuza or Like a Dragon Gaiden, but Yakuza 3 is the backbone of the modern Yakuza series. THIS is gonna be ppl's first time experiencing that story.

I think the weirdest thing abt Sony's live service push is the fact that they're not actually leveraging their legacy multiplayer IP that would fit in perfectly w that structure. Helldivers 2 and Gran Turismo are so successful because they build on multiplayer formulas the devs already had.

I'm abt 30 hours into Dragon Quest VII Reimagined. I never played the original, but I am LOOOOVING this version! It has a lot of the QoL that DQXI had which is nice. I'm a big fan of the island hopping! I love it when DQ games go in on the mini arcs and this game is almost entirely that!

I miss trash mobs. I wish more modern JRPGs (esp western developed JRPGs) knew the charm and appeal of having some absolutely braindead enemies that you encounter early on and sometimes even later in the game.

Seeing more scale accurate monsters in Monster Hunter Stories is so surreal lol. I am so SOOOO happy Capcom keeps supporting and more importantly evolving this franchise every entry. I truly hope Stories 3 puts the spinoff series on the map.

I'm SUPER excited for Rebirth coming to Switch! Might even halt my current PS5 Pro replay of it lol. Going to 30fps won't be a huge hit since I played the base PS5 version of Rebirth at 30fps anyways since the 60fps on base consoles looked butt ugly!

Personally did not care for the Partner Direct at all. I think getting all these ports are fun, but I kinda don't care for a show mostly just made up of ports of games I've personally already played on other platforms lol or games we've already known abt. Definitely worse than the last one imo.

My biggest wants for Prime 5!
-Give Samus at least SOME dialogue or don't have NPC's at all!
-Map design closer to Prime 1 and Prime 2 please!
-IF we want a more guided experience, make it like Dread! Nav Rooms (u can skip) w/o outright telling u!
-More cues from Dread's combat! Maybe a counter!

We're so back! No universe this game breaks even, but I think a potential next game with less than 8 years of development time (due to HEAVY internal restructuring) and being able to actually start from scratch will do a lot better. Still hopeful Retro will get a chance to deliver Prime 5!

We're so back! No universe this game breaks even, but I think a potential next game with less than 8 years of development time (due to HEAVY internal restructuring) and being able to actually start from scratch will do a lot better. Still hopeful Retro will get a chance to deliver Prime 5!
Finding out RE9 runs at 60fps on Switch 2 took a port I was planning on playing years later when it goes on sale to probably being my main way of playing the game on launch instead of the PS5
