I genuinely cannot fathom the sheer amount of content and extra modes Kirby Air Riders has lol. Like they want you to REALLY sink some hours in this game lol. It's kind of crazy too because I feel like Smash has become very streamlined, but this is going all out with silly mechanics and modes.

I think Gamefreak definitely has the chops esp since imo the last few games HAVE been good from a pure gameplay and content perspective, just an absolute MESS visually. I would really love to see Monolithsoft step in and provide some technical support like they do w other Nintendo games.

I can see that. I thought BDSP had really bad Chibi execution lol. I think Let's Go looked fantastic, but I was more referring to the environments and less the character models which I don't think Gamefreak has really struggled with in general (artstyle decisions aside).

Personally loved Sun and Moon and Let's Go's artstyle. I think Sword and Shield looked mostly great, but those Wild Areas looked ROUGH. Of course they're not nearly as bad as Scarlet and Violet in that department lolll.

Gamefreak desperately needs to figure out their visuals lol. The past few games have imo been really good, but have just been totally bogged down by graphics discourse (rightfully so). Idk what the solution is besides just having more time to develop and polish, but smthn needs to happen lol.

39) Pokémon Legends: Z-A
-The story was the X/Y sequel I always wanted and I LOVED the new combat. I would love to see Legends 3 refine it more. The game definitely should have looked better, but I still loved my time w it. The whole final sequence in particular might be my fav in the series.

I'm really loving Legends Z-A and I really hope the next mainline titles make a genuine effort to bring in the fluid gameplay the Legends series has. Scarlet and Violet imo felt like a weird half step that ended up feeling awkward, which I understand since S/V were made concurrently with Arceus.

38) Pokémon Scarlet
-I enjoyed this a LOT more on the Switch 2. Playing it w/o being distracted by awful fps made me love a lot of what it was going for, particularly the story and characters. I find the open ended structure enjoyable, but very unbalanced. I really enjoyed my time w it!

I think there's a strong chance I pick Chikorita for Pokemon Legends even tho Totodile is my fav widdle baby waby. I don't think in my 20 years of playing these games, I've ever had a Chikorita on my team lol.

37) Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
-Great! The story is AMAZING and the music is GREAT with some really amazing bosses too. I think my only gripe is I really did not vibe w the combat lol. I think they went a lil overboard on the parry/dodge and by the end I was actively avoiding encounters lol.

Finally finished Act 2 of Expedition 33 after dragging my feet for so long! This game's story bosses are genuinely so amazing! Super cinematic and super grand and the music is insane!!!! Excited to finish the main story!!!

As someone who considered Streets of Rage 4 their fav beat em' up seeing one of those devs go on to make a fucking amazing Shinobi reboot and the other dev go on to make a phenomenal original beat em up roguelite is honestly such a dream come true. What a powerful duo.

36) Super Mario Galaxy 2:
-Great! The levels are a HUGE step up from Galaxy 1 even if I found them a less atmospheric. I honestly think it's on par w the first game, I just vastly prefer the first game's presentation and more cinematic feel. Still awesome! The game also looked GORGEOUS in 4K!
