A woman appears on screens around the city. Her attire makes it clear that she is of the Robotnik bloodline, an esteemed family whose success long ago lied upon the defeat of the fugitive, Sonic the Hedgehog. "Greetings, citizens of Neo Egg City. As you know, I am Sage. Daughter of Dr. Ivo Robotnik. Creator of this new utopia. We are gathered here today inside the Neo Egg Rocket Zone to celebrate the Anniversary of the complete annihilation of those hooligans who prevented this city's development, the Freedom Fighters."

An operation table rises out of the floor. And on it is a fox with mechanical enhancements.
"Behold, the fate of one of my father's greatest enemies. T-411S. A genius two tailed fox that had tripled his life expectancy. We have granted him immortality and he will serve our city by finding those who seek to harm it. As will every citizen."

The roboticized fox disappears into shadows as Sage ends her speech.
"We pledge as always to be a light on your path so that none walk through the darkness alone."

In Yoshi's Island, a cave background sparkles, but only when Yoshi moves. This is achieved in an inventive way by making many 1-pixel "pinholes" in the background through which a field of stars is visible. The parallax motion shows the stars intermittently, creating sparkles.
