With hands that repress and a knife that desires,
With scissors and scalpels and forceps and pliers:
Massaging your wounds and inverting you whole.

Your willingless flesh, the dim light in your eyes
Collapses the stars into scars on your skin.
What is life without sin? Wear a visceral grin
To our surgical altar of violent demise.

You’re a sculpture of atrophy, misery’s muse,
My manifest maid of malnourished elation,
A mouth made for morsels of manipulation!
So open it, darling - I’ll put you to use.

I implore you, adore when you twist in refrain!
While shame may be sacred, I know you want more -
You hospital angel, you desperate whore,
You can’t even tell between pleasure and pain!

It’s torture! To be the sole witness of art,
To writhe as I watch with a feverish greed,
To want you! You’ve chiseled me into the need
To bleed like a body and beat like a heart!

You force me to doctor an intricate oath -
A passionate promise to bear like a ring.

Red tempts me in abundance with its desperate, deep charm -
My sweet ruby of arsenic, the bruises at your throat
Devote to me your splendour from the silk of your surrender -
As many scarlet flowers as cruel instruments of harm,
Each straining for a rapturous dream, to hold that crimson note,
Lungs drowning in the viscera of souls that beg for tender
Release from tortured rhapsody, arousal from dead sleep.
Your spider lilies creep over my flesh, their sharp volition
Devouring inhibition as the threads of time unravel
From each delicate finger. Sacrificial puppets seep
Unfathomable red, the vulture's beak drips raw ambition
And scavenges the strings trailing discarded as you travel
From carrion to paradise, from elegant desire
To decadent depravity, divine as you elicit
The luxury and pain of your true colour, endless red.
Unable to resist the warmth of blood, I kill entire
Delectable eternities, your evil grin complicit
In all apotheoses that make altars of your bed.

The life we share is swollen with a promise bearing fruit,
Forever piercing inwards, sanguine spirals swirling seed
Within our precious body. All stigmatics throb with shame
As our beloved ownership marks knowledge at the root:
The ventricle, the synapse, and the manuscript of need
That entertains your signature and flaunts my sacred name.
Torment me in your colour, stain me redder than your soul -
Anoint me in the ecstasy one mind cannot contain -
Force knuckles into veins until the boundaries of matter
Master the marrow's brain and fuck the mirror's broken hole,
Intoxicated by the sun, addicted to the rain
That comes as an apocalypse, served severed on a platter.
Illustrious and radiant, the heat of your perfection
Aligns inside my arteries, a tangent to the heart
That isolates the nerves and strips twin sadists of their tears:
Progressive exponentials of pleasure, your reflection
As loyal to your ladyship as I am rent apart
By every lash of lavish red that leashes me, Efir.

a poem from almost a year ago that we still really love!! :> #poetry

every year the snake permutes
itself, a twisted circumnavigation of
itself, a whispered hiss as the eclipse becomes
itself, shadows shaping into crescents
as if the subtle moon grew hollow fangs
with which she pierced the upper air.

i have caught my tail at its root,
jaws crushing where my body writhes
and splits. this is not to say that my past
half dances between thumb and forefinger -
more so that i have grown another head
and need to eat the world in my divergence.

the symbol for alchemical silver is lunar.
i slither out in peals of silk and slivers
of a forgotten month, mouth drenched in metals
returning the old antidote to a venom
so pliant and massaged into my spiral skin.
let’s live again in armour, soft as scales.

everything is cyclic, even breathing -
and how my ribs accommodate the planet
when drinking shattered stars from her cupped hands!
my love has returned itself as my lovers,
and though i strike forked tongue from thick saltwater,
humanity holds me, stroking my wet hair.

and the promise of being held again
reconciles my blood from ice to dew.
spring begins anew at the first butterfly
to taste the grief-anointed tears of
itself, winter receding into change as
a flower blooms in the night.

the individuality of a
physical body in relation to the universe
mirrors
cells within a body -
micro and macrostructures!

how lucky we are and how
brave to declare selfhoods
in the face of that great self - time, and
all that goes beyond it!

we challenge dimensions - forcing
patterns ever outwards -
simultaneously converging on the wonder of
something as magnificent as a body
being ensouled while
something as mysterious as a soul
has a body to call a home.

the birth of an idea
bisects past from future -
the machinery of a butterfly’s wings
as radical as the human synapse
in the survival of the organism.

$art is an extreme autotomy of the self, a class of being in all but agency, fragmenting reality as we play at godhood. every sweep of the hand tesselates into unseen fractals, chains of desire crying out for the music of oxygen’s crazed larynx and our reverence for resonance! black hole maidens propagate themselves ceaselessly, gestating on the borderline of discovery!$

if we could show you
the light behind our eyes,
our pregnant minds treading water,
semiotic fluid dividing
world from wound -
if we could show you the sexuality of religion,
the reproduction of a derivative,
the unending embrace of life,
our nervous systems in vitrines, as required -
if we could show you
micro and macrostructures,
the milky way claimed, cradled
in choice and concept, our bold bright earth
seeking synodic symbioses
with stellar spirits -

a lightning’s chance snaps
dreams to double helix dogmatism;
evolutionary prayer reflex sequences
impossible to separate from love, from death,
from the algorithm’s rhythm,
reincarnated
into the ambition of an artist!
