Old Man Bad Takes
I've been playing Kingdom Come Deliverance with JP audio for language immersion purposes and I can't find *any* information on the cast and it's driving me insane. I'm pretty positive Divish here is voiced by Hidekatsu Shibata, who voiced King Bradley in Fullmetal Alchemist.

By the by, it's also 0.99 on Steam and it seems to be a permanent price drop instead of a sale.
Fighting EX Layer is currently $0.99/£0.79 on the PS Store.

Good, I remember this incident. Fuck that guy.
Breaking News: A former Illinois deputy was convicted in the fatal shooting of Sonya Massey, a woman who had called 911. It was a rare instance of an American law enforcement officer being convicted in an on-duty shooting. nyti.ms/3LANx6c

So anyway, in Ninja Gaiden 1 level 4, there's this part with enemies shooting from afar and you're supposed to reach them by shimming across pipes, but when you get to them another 2 spawns behind you, but if you kill those, the first 2 respawn and anyway I'm just saying I want the world to burn.

They're not "suspected drug cartels", until they can explain why they suspect them. At this point, with ten attacks and 46 people dead, any framing other than "extrajudicial killings" is enabling the flagrant violations of international law.

Ah, good, it's time for our triennial "let them eat cake" video games post.
AAA video games should cost $100 on launch. this would still be extremely cheap for the amount of time and enjoyment you get out of them! But an audience of whiny babies has kept them literally at the same price for *two decades* despite both general inflation *and* sector-specific costs rising

On a completely random note, I just replayed the first level of Ninja Gaiden Sigma 1 and I discovered something... interesting. See, last time I tried to play this p̶i̶e̶c̶e̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶s̶h̶i̶t̶ totally balanced game, I installed the Black mod right out of the gate and I struggled on that first level for an hour.

There are mods to alleviate some of the issues of the game and I'll use them on NG+, but I'm a little worried it has been out for a month now and there haven't been any patches to address some of the feedback. Either the devs are very confident in their design or Konami isn't paying for patches.

I think what bothers me about Silent Hill f is that I don't see the "way it's meant to be played". I mean, I can't find a unifying design principle. It has a lot of "things", but I'm not sure why it has most of these "things".

I mean, this doesn't even make sense. It makes so little sense I genuinely hope something was lost in translation.

I thought I should catch up on some classics I haven't actually seen before, so I just saw "The Thing", directed by Sonic_Superfan_12.
Pretty good.

The "Evil Seed" in the Japanese dub is called "Evil Sperm" and I had to share that, because I'm 12.

I'll leave it for smarter people to analyze, but these corpos burning money on new hardware to compensate for the imminent collapse of their business model and industry is definitely a sight to behold.

Ubisoft shadow-dropped Pandora Tomorrow on Steam and even fixed the shadows rendering issue. Unfortunately, they can't help being chronic fuck-ups, so they didn't bother patching in any gamepad support and -most importantly- forced Uplay integration on it. For a game released in 2004.

Anyway, I don't mean to imply this game isn't scary or anything, but this is the freakiest thing that has happened so far.

I really do appreciate how the early monsters in Silent Hill f are designed to be avoided. I do think there's a few too many of them, the levels are laid out in tight paths and while this isn't a problem with dodging enemies, it does feel a bit manufactured when there's an enemy every twenty steps.

Here, I don't want this; "Distrust: Polar Survival" isometric survival something or other.
October 13, 2025 at 5:27 PM
Oh, that's pretty cool. I tried the Steam version a couple of months back and the saves broke and the enemies glitched and couldn't be killed, so this is a very welcome surprise.

I'm struggling to get into Guilty Gear Strive. I don't like how the thing moves, I hate how busy it looks and that arcade mode last stage opponent is so overtuned, it makes SNK arcade bosses blush.
I'll stick with it a bit more to offset buyer's remorse, but I'm really not enjoying this.

I have decided that this is a Silent Hill 1 reference, because otherwise this shot is kind of pointless.

Outside of combat, I have no major complaints from Silent Hill f so far. I will say that its sudden shift to a horror game doesn't quite hit as hard as the Team Silent games. There's nowhere near enough build-up, the game just seems to remember it's a horror game and suddenly things go bad.
