. @bsky.app underneath each post there is the chat icon. It shows the number of replies. Why... WHY... does clicking that icon NOT show me the replies? I keep falling for that. Annoying ui choice... (Or a bug?)

Just going for a walk on an average day in the middle of the atlantic ocean 😎 too bad this is gonna end when I get a new job (jan 1st 2026). Work from home: ok. Digital nomad lifestyle? Yeah, that's gonna end.

Interesting little project to have a more condensed LLM friendly "json" format. This is great, new more condensed but still readable data formats!

Ohh @bmann.ca you might know? Do you know of any decentralized conferences this year that dive into tech? Like IPFS thing in recent years? I can't find any...

#bluesky is there a feed that combines all the feeds I'm subscribed to? Or is that the "for me" feed?

Also, there's an option that coloring is going to be the trigger for a new job. The category of Turing a hobby into a paying job. I don't expect it but I do want to "help fate" and create the right conditions 😁 still just an amazing adventure. This first one in the Azores is for 28 days starting now
February 27, 2024 at 9:16 PM
On my way to the Azores! I'm gonna give coliving a shot! The goal is to play with tech in an environment where "like minded" people are too. I might end up helping someone else, I might end up making something cool or just nothing. It's all fine by me. An adventure for sure!

Interesting. Most libs that have those "safe free" functions (that essentially check for null before free) are redundant at best. Not sure where a while loop fits in that reasoning ;) still good to wrap it for debug purposes imho.

More Doh. My issue with it? It requires a valid https certificate (so bye bye self signed), it just refuses without it. Also a convenient requirement to kill local dns options thereby local dns based ad blocking options. Thank you Google, Mozilla and Cloudflare 😤🤬
December 6, 2023 at 11:12 PM
2/2 seriously, those features in the name of privacy begin to bother me. Doh is private, sure, but it's also super convenient for ads. And raises the bar yet again to make blocking harder. I haven't looked, but this all smells like Google is behind it.
December 6, 2023 at 10:57 PM
1/2 Ad blocking! Did you know that just using a custom dns (say w. Pihole) isn't enough anymore to block ads? Parts of your phone (android) use doh and just circumvent any custom DNS you have. Unless you ALSO set a custom "Private DNS" (that's doh). And now you have ad blocking again.

. @bsky.app @why.bsky.team would it be possible to have a look at this input bug? Made a special neat video to show it 😄 youtu.be/ZKgl6iC-Yto?...

There's plenty of room for input yet it jumps at the end of a line when you cross into the next line.

Ohh say what? Iceland volcano again. Hey, if this erupts, I'm booking! Not gonna miss out on it again. (No eruptions yet, just lots of quakes and some terrain elevation according to the interwebs)

Oh well, I already use mpv to play YouTube videos. Guess just not using the site (and opting for a different Gui) would be the next step.

Now that is a performance optimization that's just super scary and awesome at the same time! It also shows that analog, in select specific cases, obliterates digital.

China's ACCEL beats Nvidia's A100 at 3,000 times its performance and 4,000 million times higher energy efficiency.

Funny flow of choices.
1. Internet in istanbul would be handy (devconnect/labweek)
2. Hmm, looks like that must be an eSIM
3. My phone doesn't have that.
4. New phone.
5. While at it, new local mobile carrier too as the eSIM stuff led me to compare prices.

@aussiastronomer.bsky.social you did great in that universe today interview! Love the contagious enthusiasm you had there 😁👍 planet (moon..) question. Given the recent io volcanic news, and the moon covered in it. Does that mean the whole planet smells like rotten eggs if you could smell on there?
