What to know about Trump's plan to give Americans a $2,000 tariff dividend

apnews.com/article/trum...

In any other country when you get a return of some TAXES you’ve paid it’s called a TAX REFUND and you get interest on it too.

DIVIDENDS are earnings from investments 😂 😂!
Americans THAT STUPID?

Listen Kaine, Hassan, King, Cortez-Masto, Durbin, Shaheen, Rosen, and Fetterman. You're NOT gonna take away my 2025 election joy. We voted in that election for folks to FIGHT for us. That doesn't include YOU.

YOU are what we voted AGAINST last Tuesday. So I'm gonna hang on to that.

So he’s saying all the tariff money we took in is gone and we won’t be able to pay it back. There was always a possibility he could lose this lawsuit and have to refund the tariff money. We didn’t prepare for that possibility? He’s running the govt like he ran his casinos.

The lesson Trump took from his first term was that he hadn’t exercised his presidential powers aggressively enough. And that included the pardon power.

Pardon the Corruption
Trump’s blanket pardons for stop-the-steal illegality aren’t only about settling scores from past elections. They’re about laying the groundwork to subvert future ones.

Let me get this straight.

Most of us live paycheck-to-paycheck to afford groceries, rent, healthcare.

Trump could have kept healthcare premiums from spiking, but he gave the rich tax cuts instead.

And now we're letting him open the government WITHOUT securing lower premiums?🤔

People don't realized how fucked a lot of products used to be before our modern legal / regulatory framework, but I guess we're moving toward finding out 😔
This really is just nostalgia. Cars are much better now. A $65 pair of shoes will still last years if you don't beat them up, and you can buy better ones for a bit more if you like. The annoyances in modern products are "too many useless features" and not "could malfunction and kill you."
Cars were better when you didn't need a subscription to turn on your heated seats or when companies couldn't literally throttle your engine output/power without paying a subscription fee! That kind of rent seeking makes products worse and makes them want when products didn't do that.

Trump floats tariff 'dividends' even while plan shows major flaws

www.npr.org/2025/11/11/n...

Example:
1) You pay tariffs (extra taxes) now on products imported.
2. That goes to Treasury
3. Trump Admin uses that for whatever they want - ICE, Ballroom, jets
4. He might give you a few ? back

😂

Will you call for Schumer to resign?
I will not support a deal that does nothing to make health care more affordable.

We are in a health care emergency. A simple one-year extension of these tax credits would cost less than Donald Trump’s $40 billion bailout for Argentina.

A vote for this bill is a mistake.

Expel the yes votes from the party and cut off all their access to fundraising, then remove Schumer from leadership. Anything less is mealy-mouthed coward bullshit.
As this vote moves to the House, I stand with Democratic leadership as they refuse to rubber stamp the full-scale Republican assault on Americans’ health care and I am proud of the majority of Senate Democrats who opposed this vote.
