One of the things that stood out going from Andor to Rogue One was how rough the music in Rogue One is. It’s just feels disjointed and awkward, like it’s attempting to mimic John Williams while trying not to be obvious.
Would love to see a re-score of Rogue One done by Nicholas Britell.

Setting texts is the foundation of writing choral music. Words can be set generally in two ways: syllabically and melismatically. In syllabic word settings each syllable is sung on a single note. In melismatic settings syllables are sung across multiple pitches.
