The Target situation is like a microcosmic example of the US tariff initiative. People thought they needed Target, until the boycott. Now they’ve found ways around it and don’t wanna go back. Other countries are now realizing they don’t need the big superpower USA and are adjusting accordingly.

When I were a lad if you were asked who your hero was you were supposed to say Nelson Mandela or Gandhi. Maybe a bit of residual Mother-Teresa-regarding. I’m not sure who you’re supposed to say now.

I watched Sinners. I think that might be the coolest, albeit in a pretty funnily backhanded way, depiction of Irish people/culture in an American movie.

I don't think AI art democratizes in any sense, because it's harder to make good art with AI than without it. It actually requires weird, rare skill that nobody on any side of the debate has any interest acknowledging.
