For the last decade or so Chuck Schumer has seemed like a time traveler from the far distant past (2014) who is experiencing the Trump era for the first time. I don't know I've ever seen anyone so immune to lessons life is DESPERATELY trying to teach.

If only they would actually listen. But if we've learned anything it's that the military is full of effete, supine, weak-willed sycophants who lack the backbone to ever say no. They have never not done Trump's bidding and they're not about to start now. Sadly.

Kamala Harris is still dealing with crazy double standards. We have a president who is a literal authoritarian doing Nazisms but if she says 2 words together in public it's just as bad, even worse. He can come back from trying to overthrow the government, but she should be shunned for life.

So many people are talking about the batshittery that is the content, and that's probably the smart take. But I'm going to be super petty and point out that dress is hideous and she does not have the right face to go without makeup. But that's what homophobia gets you: no gay around to tell you no.
The tone of this video is completely wild. It's filmed like a high school media class project. It looks like it too; the presentation and graphics are amateurish. And yet it's chilling, because she's a real government spokesperson dismissing reports of abuses in detention with finger quotes.
