Also - on hope as resistance. When I lose hope, as I feel this week, it's because I've not protected myself and my power. Rest is also resistance. #CommunityPsychology @annieingarden.bsky.social

Corker of an afternoon with @annieingarden.bsky.social, remembering why I applied for #DClinPsy. The clinic just isn't for me, and I think it's sub-par for loads of us, whether we're wearing lanyards or not. So, find me at the beach (and on the edges).

Too often, clinicians reduce everything to the BPD lens:

- Pain relief? Drug-seeking.
- Angry at injustice? Emotional dysregulation.
- Shuts down? Stonewalling.
- Has needs? Attention-seeking.

This isn’t diagnosis—it’s interpretive violence.

Breathing with the trees this afternoon. When everything feels heightened and urgent, the place of stillness and ease is where I find the clarity, wisdom & pragmatism needed to crack on. The world tries to rush our feet from under us but we don't have to be swept along.

I realised I'd not yet posted! Slowly building a little corner for myself here, you're so welcome to join me. When I'm not here I'm staring at the sea and when I'm not staring at the sea I'm not doing all the other things I should be. #DClinPsy #Devon
