Working on the second world for Electro Havoc. Sticking with the space station, but introducing shuttle bays to allow outer world enemies to fly in and cascade through the map. Instead of chasing the player, these will be on preset flight paths with timed visits.

A wishlist from players has been to differentiate enemies based on their attack pattern. Well, now thanks to Godot 4.4's support for per instance uniforms for canvas_item #shaders, I've got a little more color in the game.

I'm working on a charging/surging attack pattern for The Shard. It's not quite there yet as they're fairly easy to maneuver around, but when there's a pack of them, it does lead to some unpredictable behavior. Thoughts on other attack patterns I should consider?

Added a "piranha tween" effect to the attack behavior of The Shard to mimic a hungry fish taking bites out of the player. This adds some personality into the geometry, and bonus! Also fixes a bug where they'd periodically get stuck on the player's CollisionPolygon2D.
