I'd love to see more authors get comfortable with mentioning the artists they work with while promoting their book. I promise it's not going to take anything away from the book to mention who made the "absolutely gorgeous cover" or the amazing character art you're showing off.

Using AI is risking plagiarism, and nothing will kill a writer's career quicker or deader than that.
AI lacks flavor, and the special sauce of any writer is the flavor they put there themselves.

I can not stress this enough: Any editor worth anything can AND WILL catch you if you're using AI to write. It's not slick, it's not subtle, & so many behavioral patterns beyond the writing are dead giveaways.
Do the work or get out.

Not all of the imagery gets vetted. I had to publicly yell at them to remove "stock images" that used my name and were generated using my portfolio without my permission. And I wasn't the only artist, there's been a consistent flood of images with dubious sourcing all over Adobe Stock.
