Partyka: My son, like so many people on Medicaid, works over 40 hours a week. People on Medicaid are not the “parasite class,” as this horrible, out-of-touch administration has described them. They are your friends and your neighbors—and in this case, he is my son.

You do know that "Billionaires" don't pay taxes don't you? Feds can't tax wealth, only income.
Many billionaires, Musk, Bezos, Buffett, Gates etc, have little or no income. If they have no income, they get no benefit from reductions in income tax.
Whatcha gonna do about it?
My bet is nothing.

Let's talk about what's going on in DC. Republicans have been trying to put together a reconciliation bill, and then hold a full House vote on it. Part of the bill got held up in committee on Friday because some Republicans were mad it didn't cut enough services, so they shut it down for a minute

It will never stop being remarkable to me that Congressional Republicans see these trends and think to themselves, "Well, we've got to push forward with a colossally unpopular package of Medicaid cuts and tax breaks for the rich. That'll surely turn this around."
If anyone in the House or Senate GOP was capable of leadership, we wouldn't be in this position. But if these polling trends keep up we just might break the fever if a handful of them decide that they need to find someone else to follow. www.nytimes.com/2025/04/23/u...

he wants to abolish the income tax and fund the government almost entirely through tariffs, thereby delivering the most regressive bonanza to the rich in the history of American taxation. He has said this many many times. He said it *at the announcement* and yet pieces like this just ignore it.
