My family has been without half our income for 40 days. It has been.. very hard.

We are willing to feel that pain so people can have health care next year, or to undo these illegal recissions.

We are not willing to have been put through this for NOTHING.

Hey @schumer.senate.gov, a 'promise' from Republicans? WTAF? Are you a child? Even you can't be that naïve. Don't you dare do your kabuki theater with hundreds of millions of lives hanging in the balance.

If you can't play hardball, resign. Immediately.

I just finished my analysis about what comes next after last night’s blowout elections. Donald Trump and the GOP are going to do everything they can to rig the 2026 midterms.

Today, Mike Johnson will keep the House adjourned for the 91st day out of the last 103.

12 days of work in 103 days.

With full pay and benefits.

The senate has been working, so this is not about the shutdown.

It is about avoiding a vote to release the Epstein files.

America 🇺🇸 We can no longer sustain the current situation in America with what ICE is doing to the citizens of our country! It’s getting out of hand and eventually it won’t end well!!

The Life of a Show President
This is Trump's Great Gatsby themed Halloween Party at Mar-A-Lago.

He's living his best life while millions of Americans face hunger.

Although they voted for him, not one raggedy-toothed MAGA was invited.

When will the leaders and members of our military join with the ICC and turn over this overwhelming corrupt administration. Not the Hegseth’s and trumps Military but our Military that is made up of our families and loved ones.
The thing about Johnson not swearing in Grijalva is that’s it a test for 2026.

If you think they will accept an outcome they don’t like, they will just Grijalva it.

So what’s the plan when the GOP says “we ain’t leaving, fuck you, make us.”

Because that IS what they are going to say.

Democrats tried to pass a standalone bill today to just make sure kids could eat during this shutdown by funding SNAP and WIC

The bill had to pass unanimously. If one person voted no, it wouldn’t pass.

John Thune said no. A Republican.
ONE MAN blocked WIC & SNAP funding for over 40 million people

If you have the means, please consider scaling back your Thanksgiving meal and sending money to your local food bank.
Wow! It’s not even close. Food banks can’t keep up with the need…

Question: “How long is this sustainable.”

Food bank director: “It’s not… for every meal that a food bank provides, the SNAP program provides nine. There’s no way we can meet that gap.”

Trump's "Beautiful Bill" throws 15m off health care. Expiring ACA premium tax credits will double or triple premiums for 20 million. He's refusing to use a $6 billion emergency SNAP fund to feed 42 million.
Thank heavens the 1% get to keep $1 trillion in tax breaks. 😠

Q: "What's your reaction to Jesus telling you that you must *give* to the poor, not take away from the poor?"

MIKE JOHNSON: "I don't know any of the details of that yet. I'm just hearing that for the first time so can't really comment."
Q: What's your reaction to yesterday's purge of senior ICE officials? When is it time for Congress to do some oversight?

MIKE JOHNSON: I don't know any of the details of that yet. I just heard about that, literally I was walking in.

A good share of our billionaires have noticed that SOME countries are virtually owned by a small rich class of people. They don’t have a middle class or a professional class, they just have masses of very neglected poor people who don’t get a say about ANYTHING and don’t have anything.
That looks more appealing to a good share of our ultra wealthy than the democracy with taxes, education, healthcare, infrastructure and all the costs of it. They don’t think anyone deserves a good life besides themselves. It’s not only about hoarding money & opportunities, it’s about hoarding power.
