I'm an autistic, genderfluid, poly nerd, and I used to look to Shayy to affirm my own identity. I also kinda talk like them, too. But I'm also terrified of hurting people. Someone like Shayy doing something like this fucks me up Real Bad.

Up until now, big-name creators getting outed always felt like watching an explosion from far away. This was like an explosion went off in my own virtual neighborhood. I will be shaken for a very long time in ways that I have never been before.

this is probably the hardest of our holidays for obvious reasons. Not simply because of the sorrow in remembering the wonderful and amazing trans people we have lost too early, but because we, as trans people, all must grapple with the possibility of mortality.
