BM: Gazze'de eşi benzeri görülmemiş bir felaket yaşanıyor
Birleşmiş Milletler Filistinli Mültecilere Yardım Ajansı'nın (UNRWA) X üzerinden yaptığı açıklamada, "Gazze Şeridi'ndeki insani durum hayal edilemeyecek boyutlara ulaştı." ifadelerine yer verildi. Ablukanın uzamasıyla durumun daha da kötüleştiği vurgulanan açıklamada, bu krizin önüne geçmek için uluslararası toplumun acilen harekete geçmesi çağrısı yapıldı.
UNRWA ayrıca bölgede derhal ateşkes sağlanması gerektiğini de bir kez daha vurguladı.
UNRWA Genel Komiseri Philippe Lazzarini, 2 Mayıs'ta, İsrail ablukasının "sessizce her gün daha fazla çocuk ve kadını öldürdüğünü" belirtmişti.
"AÇLIĞIN İLERİ EVRESİNE GEÇİLDİ"
Gazze Hükümeti Medya Ofisi Genel Müdürü İsmail es-Sevabite ise, 1 Mayıs'ta yaptığı açıklamada, abluka nedeniyle bölgenin "açlığın ileri bir evresine" geçtiğini kaydetmişti.
İsrail, 2 Mart'ta Gazze'ye yönelik tüm geçiş noktalarını kapatmış, insani yardım ve yakıt girişini engellemişti. Devam eden soykırım nedeniyle bölgede yaşayan 2,4 milyon Filistinlinin tamamı yardımlara bağımlı hale geldi.
NÜFUSUN YÜZDE 90'I EVLERİNİ TERK ETMEK ZORUNDA KALDI
BM ve uluslararası kuruluşlara göre, İsrail saldırıları nedeniyle Gazze'de nüfusun yüzde 90'ından fazlası evlerini terk etmek zorunda kaldı; çoğu defalarca yerinden edildi, kalabalık sığınaklarda ya da açık alanlarda yaşam mücadelesi veriyor. Bu durum, hastalık ve salgınların da hızla yayılmasına yol açtı.
ABD'nin desteğiyle, 7 Ekim 2023'ten bu yana İsrail'in Gazze'de sürdürdüğü saldırılarla çoğu kadın ve çocuk olmak üzere 170 bini aşkın Filistinli öldü veya yaralandı, 11 binden fazla kişi ise hala kayıp durumda.#ESHAHABER.COM.TR
