Most of the time I don’t feel like a 42 year old dad of 3 and then something will happen like a couple fire trucks will go by with their sirens blaring and I’ll say out loud to no one, “huh, something’s going on.”

Had a very nerdy chat with my daughter (12) about how the 3 branches of government are supposed to work, how they currently are acting and how Roe v. Wade was then wasn’t. She (correctly) accused me of being chatty and engaged at a surprisingly high level. Look out world, you have a fierce one.

I’m really looking forward to taking a week off at the end of the month before the sprint that is the holiday season. Goal for next year: use way more of my PTO and call out on a semi-regular basis.
