When I put my Spotify Christmas playlist on my wife and daughter’s response is: “No! That makes us want to die.” Our musical tastes diverge at Christmas.

Being a British parent is so weird bc you're actually worried about paying the sky high rent/mortgage & getting GP appointments but the entire press keeps telling you you're worried there's a trans person or immigrant nearby & the vat on Eton means there'll only be two skiing holidays this year

Friday night in the pub I met a couple from elsewhere working five jobs between them to pay rent and bring up their 8 year-year old. I’d say they were giving, working people. And this is what they get from the Home Office.

Watched Train to Busan again last night with 18. Comepletely forgotten how merciless it is on bankers and fund managers. The writers were clearly very pissed off with the financial services industry. youtu.be/UOTOjA0ngmk?...

I see the new Dr Who spinoff rests entirely on a Guy Goma plot line.

As Trump and Infantino work the red carpet, bragging about setting records for ticket prices.

Lets break down what “record prices" really mean for football fans and host countries.

An important thread.

What!?
160 years ago, the 13th Amendment was ratified, ending slavery. But that amendment came with a sinister loophole: a Slavery Clause that allowed for slavery “as punishment for crime.”

We need to pass @repnikema.bsky.social’s and my Abolition Amendment to #EndTheException once and for all!

It's also: you don't know who is going to become what. A society more confident in itself would believe a little bit more in its ability to make anyone thrive and give back.
My dad abhors any negative comments about immigrants. Asked him recently why he’s so strong on it: ‘Because we’re always happy to take the rich and clever ones. Which means it’s not about disliking immigrants. It’s about disliking the poor and vulnerable. And that’s a bad human instinct.’
This is so disgusting.

You have to seriously wonder what kind of parenting Farage was subjected to.

Can’t help feeling that national football associations should just leave FIFA and start a brand new body.

Been rewatching s8 of Game of Thrones and can’t get over just how shambolic the defence of Winterfell is in ep 4. A troop of brownies could have organised things more effectively.
