Well that was a great start. Rooting on the fridge depths for some gin marmalade and upended an old half full Caron of double cream of me and my old dog walking fleece and the floor. Round of applause for my next trick which was to strip off to clean up , not realising the blinds weren’t down.

Anyone know where my torch charger is likely to be? I don’t know if I can face the upheaval of turning all the “possibles” upside down. I did it yesterday looking for a cleaning implement. I need some sort of inventory of where every single item might be in these “miscellaneous” organising boxes

I’m looking at my soaking fruit and trying to decide it today is Christmas cake making day. Maybe not. I admire people with proper plans and timetables. Then I light the stove and pick up Ted Hughes. Jury’s out.

I found myself looking with fresh insight at a piece my brother did last night and seeing new things there.
I photographed the piece and sent images to my trusted art therapy friend and a conversation happened , via text, about my thoughts .

Nasty nightmares after a bad night.
But despite that , reflecting how much I enjoy December. It’s stressful beyond words sometimes but in the moments of lull , between the grim grey bouts of rain , I love the lights and sparkle and moments of heat and reflection and calm. A day of that yesterday.

I keep faffing about putting my art stuff up and then an hour later there’s a bang and the dog gets cross and the picture has hurled itself off the wall. I give up.

Today I’ve mostly been walking and unravelling lights. It had to be done. I’m not very practical when it comes to lights. But a start has been made.

Time taken from arrival back at the cottage , laden with bags , dog , food supplies etc , to unload car , unpack , put a wash on , warm cottage , apply electric blankets , make toast and hot mocha coffee , put shopping away , feed Tiny Ted and climb into bed :) 17 mins.

Rude awakening for Tiny Ted by Bebe coming in to say good morning. TT had to use her bark even though she was still fast asleep and not in full bark mode. Bebe was pleased to see grandma and highly delighted to see the dog.
