Since the husband was a photojournalist before working in film, sometimes he comes home from work and says,

“Apparently they want it to look like they blew up [Redacted movie set] with [Redacted explosive device] or other [Redacted weapon] but I’ve seen what that looks like and it’s not this.”

Will Arnett was on Conan and told a story about how Conan dealt with the death of his parents by accusing Jason Bateman of killing them. It’s so funny.

I think this is pretty brilliant
I would absolutely love a service that you bough a tranche of credits that could be used across a variety of independent publications.

I pay $45 and read 20 articles across 12 different pubs. And if I run out, I can buy another tranche. But I dont have to enter my payment info 20 times.

I call this test the Racist Pub Quiz
My PT is studying for his British citizenship test so we were practicing between sets. What absolute bloody nonsense it is. "How long ago was the Bronze Age" yeah wow imagine a British citizen not knowing that, the state would collapse.

This project will create more homes than San Fransisco built last year—in fact, 3x more.
In Lower Manhattan, the aging @nychousing.bsky.social HQ is being replaced with housing: 3,700 new apartments, with 900+ permanently affordable.

This is finally a project of the appropriate scale for our housing crisis—it's more than the entire SoHo/NoHo rezoning that passed 4 years ago.

I love this time of year. When the first snows of winter arrive in Scotland, nature snuggles down under a pristine blanket of purest white and the majestic Hover Corgis take to the air.

Now you can save water and electricity while navel-gazing, and carry one of the world's most powerfully annoying AI chatbots in your pocket.

The main fact that stuck with me after writing a book about British Xmases is that The Times was complaining about decorations going up in October back in the *1930s*, Selfridges has had decorations up in Oct since at least the 1950s and the whole “earlier every year” thing is generally bollocks
Middle class people love to pretend to be appalled at Christmas decorations being either early or fun to look at, the ideal Christmas tree is put up at midnight on Christmas day and decorated only by a black cloak and an unlit matchstick
