A reminder that this anti-trans panic is 100% bullshit and exactly none of our country’s problems are related to someone expressing their gender identity and everyone who isn’t a hate-filled weirdo knows it.

As the council says; “because without a tram line the city would be one massive traffic jam”.

It's really frustrating dealing with employment agencies who do all these tests for what do you want to do as a job and what are you good at and then go on to say why are you still trying when the answer is sell cannabis. Like if you had a predetermined idea why bother doing all the setup.

These are violations of international law as well as of our constitutional separation of powers. More importantly, it is morally repugnant to murder people without trial based solely on speculation. Particularly when the speculation comes from an administration of known fabulists and liars.
Awful: Pentagon officials told lawmakers Trump now claims authority to bomb people merely “affiliated” with “narco-terrorist" groups, Rep Adam Smith tells me. But under questioning, they wouldn't say what “affiliated” even means!

Lots of fresh info in my new piece:

One political party holds all of our federal government and tomorrow our federal government will stop providing food assistance.

As someone who appreciates nuance, I really don't think anything else really matters here.

Presiding over a hungry populace rarely ends well for the ones in power.

Just so we're clear: This administration's blatant, unapologetic choice to deny food to 42 million people—to have the money sitting there and say, "No, we'll let them go hungry"—is simply a more overt display of why homelessness and poverty keep worsening in this country.

Because it's *decided.*

Let's remember that earlier this year, the Trump administration canceled 94 million pounds of aid that was supposed to go to food banks.

Soon after, the USDA abruptly ended its 27-year practice of collecting national data on hunger.

Again, there's nothing "accidental" about the suffering to come.

Rolling back clean energy policies to “save” European industry will backfire. It may seem attractive in the short term, but it’s poor industrial policy in the long run.

Standing still on climate policy undermines competitiveness. Industry needs stability and long-term direction, not uncertainty.

The fact that some prominent Democrats defend a Maine Senate primary candidate’s Nazi tattoo while he isn’t even leading in polls, but not defend a NYC mayor primary winner from false smears even as he’s leading general election polls says a lot.

That doesn’t seem driven by voter preference.

What's frustrating is that as I read this, I knew exactly the thought process Jamie Oliver had... "What's Korean food famous for? Oh yeah, Korean BBQ! I'll whack some BBQ sauce in there, that'll make it Korean."

Good time to enjoy Anthony Bourdain reading that twat Oliver for filth.
