I was wrong about Trump. I thought he was gonna take credit for Biden’s economy

A lot of people’s livelihoods are at risk now and that sucks

The silver lining is he is destroying his political capital which will weaken his ability to further undermine our institutions

Again, the problem was not 'messaging' in the sense that Democrats and Harris and Biden didn't say what Trump's plans are and their consequences, they said so over and over again in many many different ways
Apropos of nothing: Kamala Harris predicted this exact moment happening:

“Understand that part of Trump’s plan is to put in place a national sales tax of at least 20% on everyday goods and necessities.”

She warned us over & over again & she was so right.

Cory Booker — inspiring.

Susan Crawford — impressive and heartening.

The general tenor of discourse on this site — still kinda deranged.

it’s funny how YIMBYism is so obviously correct that its opponents always fall into the following 3 camps

1) economically illiterate

2) people who think that YIMBYism is necessary but not sufficient and choose to attack it for some reason

3) people who have personal beef with a specific YIMBY

If Trump really wants US expansion as part of his legacy he should pressure the GOP congress to make PR a state
Disturbing WSJ piece about Trump’s land lust — and a painting of President Polk.

This article convinced me that Trumps deadly serious about grabbing more territory — for his “legacy” — and he might not even care which territory it is.

Gen Z is cooked
Absolutely eye-popping number from the new YouGov/Economist poll (3/16-18):

Trump is at 56% unfavorable among voters 65+, with only 44% viewing him favorably

He was at 51% (unfavorable) and 47% (favorable) at this point in February (2/9-2/11).

That is a big shift in a key demographic.

Elon Musk owning Twitter and using it to elevate right wing messaging makes him Trump’s minister of propaganda

He also strikes me as the kind of guy who would give cyanide to all of his kids before offing himself

Wow that’s actually refreshing to hear the truth for once

The media has been so afraid to call a spade a spade for years that it’s almost shocking to hear this on TV
A top economics reporter goes off script on national TV: “I am going to say this at risk of my job, but what President Trump is doing is insane.”

Fundamentally the issue with that article everyone is talking about is that religious conservatives aren't mad that their views aren't being tolerated. It's that they're not popular and particularly that people are *allowed* to oppose them
I don’t spend a lot of time worrying if other people’s religious beliefs are uncouth or whatever but if you are engaged in a political project that seeks to subjugate women, girls and LGBTQ people to men I will oppose you with everything I have in me.
