I've added a lot of powerful spells recently so I think a weaker more common spell would balance the game a bit better.

Eevee's realtime subsurface scattering is one of its superpowers. Maybe it isn't as accurate as SSS in Cycles, but wow it’s FAST. Renders in just a fraction of the time. Have you tried it yet?
