Buried under the trash pile (A.K.A. Video Games). Rambles on about whatever. He/Him

Some good news is that we finally reached the town.. bad news the shop was closed. Just our luck.

The constant trips to the Digital World and training has made me neglect his health, so now he's quite underweight. I ended up upsetting Dongo by trying to overfeed him.

Day 7

We resumed our routine. Enter the Digital World, get one battle in, return home, and train.

A Tsukaimon that Dongo fought dropped a Data Chip, which could be used to boost his Data attribute without needing to train. But I decided to save it for the time being.

Streamers don't even peep the horror anymore, smh.
Not long after, a Palmon beat up Dongo. We had a rematch after he recovered and did a little bit of training.

We got a few more fights and wins in before Dongo was low on energy and sleepy, so we spent the rest of the day resting.

At the very least, we're making progress now.

Day 6

Dongo reached Age 2 and got a cookie as a birthday treat.

We came across a new Digimon in the Digital World, it looked like a Patamon. It was a nice break from the constant Agumons we kept running into. We managed to take it out before things got troublesome.

Day 5

Dongo took a long rest, and we trained a little bit once he woke up. Another attempt into the Digital World we encountered an Agumon. This time we managed to scrape by and beat one.

The plan is to continue training, but what to prioritise is the main concern.
On another note; The change in Dongo's habitat has one drawback in that it requires more work in maintaining the temperature to make it suitable for him.

I'm constantly having to raise the temperature since it rapidly drops. If I don't do this, he could end up getting sick.

Every encounter after that were against Agumon, who were a bit stronger. They were too much as Dongo would get knocked out after two hits.

After all that training into his Vaccine attribute and health, it wasn't enough. Guess we need more training..

Day 4

Today we took our first steps into the Digital World.. It went poorly.

We tried making our way to the nearest town, only to run into a a hostile Digimon. We managed to win our first fight which was against what might have been a Palmon.

Our luck ran out after that.

Just adding that there is now a version that is by the actual devs of the extension, so it's likely to have better bug fixes/support.
Oh shit I didn't know we were getting one of those Anti-Directs today. Damn, missing out on knowing what games will get shit physical releases.
The change of habitat ended up working for the best. As his new form seems to be incompatible with the Plains.

Petting him has become slightly uncomfortable due to the changes to his body, but I love him all the same.

Tomorrow, we will finally explore the Digital World.

Dongo ended up evolving not long after. He's now become a ToyAgumon, a Vaccine digimon that resembles toy blocks in the shape of a dinosaur.

He recovered from his injury not long after and it seemed he's reached Age 1. He found a cupcake somewhere so I let him have it as a treat.

Day 3

Dongo spent a good chunk of the early morning sleeping. He woke up later on, but got grumpy when it started to rain.

I moved him to a different habitat temporarily to see if that improved his mood. He got injured while training trying to increase HP again.

Day 2

Dongo evolved into a Koromon. Not much has changed.

I'm still focused on training his Vaccine attribute while occassionally doing the others. Did enough HP training to raise it by 1 point.

He's not ready to go out on an adventure yet, but he's getting there.
Day 1

Picked my first egg. It hatched into a Botamon that I'm gonna call Dongo. Little guy seems to be quite the cheerful sort and a big fan of meat.

Trained him up a bit as well. Seems he prefers doing Vaccine training so that what I'll focus on for now.

He pooped on the floor a few times.
Yesterday I downloaded the current version of DVPet just to mess around with it again. Making a thread to journal what Digimon I end up raising and how that turns out.

You can adjust the clock speeds at any time, but for now I'm going to keep it to real time to see how things go.

Time Stranger's postgame boss was real tough but fun.

Managed to beat it on a second attempt even though I was "underleveled" that my entire party jumped up by 10-20 levels lol.

Only thing I got left to do is collect cards but hesistant on whether to save it for a NG+ run or not.
I couldn't handle one person I was watching losing it over how good the game looked during PRE-RENDERED CUTSCENES!

Yeah those few pre-rendered cutscenes they always had for past games like the opening, the boxart legendary showing up, and the ending sure do look better than the actual game.
I've tried watching different people play Legends ZA to get a better idea of what it's like.

Problem is I kinda don't care enough to look any further than the first few hours. Doesn't help that I've been hearing the game takes way too long until it releases you from tutorial hell.
Though from this, I learned the dev used to have a discord server for it (the only place you would get hear news and updates on it as far as I can tell), but they shut it down a month ago because there were people that were selling/paywalling mods for it.
There's a fanmade digimon virtual pet game called DVPet that I've messed around with before which you could get from an old forum post about it or off a fucking fandom wiki page.

Only recently found out the dev actually put it up on itch and the versions hosted elsewhere are very outdated.
If anything.. it's made me want to play the DS Story games or at least something else Digimon related. I'd also want to revisit Cyber Sleuth and Hacker's Memory since it got me thinking about those games again.

Was going to at some point anyway, but I ended up playing the new thing, oops.
Still got some postgame stuff I unlocked even after the flood of sidequests and extra shit you unlocked at the end of the game.

Definitely replaying this since there were a lot of Digimon I wanted to use but didn't end up getting and going to play on a higher difficulty next time. Also DLC..
