Polly Waters is Danchi Days’ trendy 20-something! Like, totally!
Like her flowing blue hair, she’s refreshing and fun.
She cleans the water fountains to help out around the danchi. 🧼˚₊‧
Her birthday marks the start of modern water supply in Tokyo!

Don't we love it when you work on something for weeks and find it neat, yet all of a sudden you think it's awful. So you start to change the core of it but now everything you build around it crumbles, so you kinda start it all over and now you wonder if the change is actually better or not (╯°□°)╯

Truly beautiful!
One of my favourite experiences this year was Stories from Sol: The Gun-Dog. Beautifully caught the aesthetics and vibes of old PC-98 games. The writing and characters were so endearing, that it left me hoping for more in the future.

Now that my puzzle game, Rhell, is almost finished, iv been making bonus optional puzzles for the player.

Since they dont have to fit in with enviroments i can make them as strange as possible, like this one room with 200 buttons to press

I've been singing the praises of Captain Wayne this week (just fun start to finish, short but sweet) but one thing that it deserves special credit for is an absolute banger of a soundtrack.

It sounds like an arcade game. 100% propulsive guitar n' synth jams that loop seamlessly. Raw action energy.

Mohrta is an FPS Demon's Souls-like with so, so much soul. There's some technical rough edges due to the engine choice (GZDoom) and also it being a two-man production, but the atmosphere just shines through. Every level is a unique locations with fresh enemies and the talky characters are loveable.

Speaking of FPS as a platform for comedy, Shooty Shooty Robot Invasion hasn't sold as well as I'd like but has near-perfect user reviews.

Beefy playable webcomic about a girl named Shooty (who is borrowing her boss' pants today) stopping a robot invasion and all her dumbass friends are slacking off

We finally got Skin Deep this year and it is *exceptionally* funny. Loved the slapstick gameplay mechanics encouraging chaotic slapfights with enemies, which dovetails nicely with the writing, which kinda sits at the intersection of Venture Bros, Futurama and Jazzpunk.

I thought RPG releases were slowing down in the last few weeks of this year, but I'd apparently forgotten one. The Use Of Life just fully launched after nearly four years in early access.

A loosely game-book inspired adventure, seemingly inspired by (currently-being-remade) RPG Maker gem Ruina.
