We call AI the workplace revolution. The real one is human. Happier employees are 13% more productive. In a 4-day week pilot, revenue rose 35% and attrition fell 57%. AI can streamline work, but happiness drives it. Are you measuring it?

Too many cultures push with rules and mandates. Pull cultures inspire with vision, ownership and trust. That difference decides if change fails or thrives. How are you making employees co-creators of culture?

An executive’s questions show how they view comms. Asking about impressions or share of voice misses the point. The best communicators connect outcomes to trust, culture, reputation and revenue. What do you ask in interviews?

👻 Getting ghosted is scary, especially at work.

When leaders go silent, fear and speculation spread faster than any haunted house.

This Halloween, the best way to keep ghosts out of your culture is clear and consistent communication.

How do you make sure your teams do not get ghosted?

In 2023, the big question was: Will AI take my job?

10,000 connections on LinkedIn.

Grateful for every communicator, leader and colleague who’s joined the conversation about how we engage, lead and communicate with purpose.

Here’s to what we’ll keep learning together.

Coaching wrestlers taught me that growth starts when people feel supported, not just pushed.

The same is true for communicators. Leaders who guide with trust and empathy build stronger, more confident teams.

What’s one lesson you’ve learned from mentoring others?
October 27, 2025 at 1:09 PM
Eighty-four percent of communicators say AI is a skill they must learn. Most are self-teaching. Few get structured training.

Is your organization investing in AI upskilling, or leaving employees to figure it out on their own?

What an honor to chat with MBA candidates this morning at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business on AI and its rapidly evolving uses for business communication!

Thanks to my pal Steve Soltis for inviting me to share a few thoughts with his class.

Our AI Landscape for Employee Communications 2025 Report shows communicators see AI’s greatest benefit as time saved. Drafting, research and ideation move faster. But leaders want proof beyond efficiency.

How are you measuring AI’s impact in terms of business outcomes, not just hours saved?
October 22, 2025 at 1:09 PM
In wrestling, progress comes from doing the same move thousands of times until it becomes second nature.

Communication is no different. Repetition builds clarity, alignment and trust.

Are your messages simple and consistent enough for your employees to repeat back to you?

“The most successful companies today are not asking whether AI should be integrated, but how it drives innovation, efficiency and growth.”

AI is reshaping comms. The opportunity is real, but so is the need to govern and secure it. How are you preparing?

Employee wellbeing rose to 47% in 2025 (Alight). Yet 39% still dread starting their day and a third have stopped striving for top-quality work. Leaders cannot mistake sentiment for engagement. How do you help employees love the work itself?

Only 21% of employees were engaged at work last year (Gallup). Perks will not fix that. Engagement lasts when leaders model balance, managers support well-being and culture rewards recovery as much as performance. What have you seen work?

I learned in wrestling and coaching my athletes that we can't fake toughness. The arenas in which we work expose our grit. The same is true with leaders. Are we preparing them to win and communicate in hard times — or to look good in the program?
