My mom called me last night about the Kimmel firing, saying "This is how Hitler got started!" I quickly responded, "By firing the late night tv hosts?"
Turns out, mom was right.

Bookmarks are finally back Teams 2.0! 🙏
Dear @microsoftteams.bsky.social, could you please now fix the hostile Markdown editor in Chat messages. In its current form, it's a productivity killer.
A plain text editor, with an on-demand markdown preview pop-up, would do just fine!

Listening to this podcast where the American ambassador to Canada is complaining about how mean Canada is with tariffs blah blah, and I am really struck by how poorly spoken he is. How are these folks even getting interviews, much less fancy jobs when they can barely string a sentence together?

To my future self: Running Ubuntu 24.04.2 on an old Dynabook X30G with Intel I7-10510U, kworker process hogging CPU at 70% after failed sleep attempts (lid close/open).
Problem solved by disabling Secure Boot in BIOS and adding "mem_sleep_default=deep" to GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT.

As more Russian Shaheds make it to Kyiv and air defense shakes the night ahead of a possible missile attack, I can’t stop thinking: there was a choice. Give Ukraine what it needs to stop this. Instead, they’re twisting Ukraine’s arm and emboldening Russia.

Just published a new blog post on why I think it's time that the web platform added a declarative template API.
Let me know what you think!
As I find time, I'll be working on more of a concrete proposal over the next few months...
