Someone I phone banked texted back and said PLEASE don’t ask people who they’re voting for, and I honestly think part of the reason we’re currently in a hellscape is because we don’t talk enough about who we vote for and why and also our salaries. It’s not rude to ask, and it’s not weird to share!

I’m asking everyone to vote for a new Mayor by Tuesday and rank all 3 of Omar Fateh, Dewayne Davis, and Jazz Hampton in whichever order you prefer. I’ve worked at City Hall for the last 4 years and from my personal experiences I believe the City desperately needs a new mayor.

This is just… evil. I can’t imagine that this is what the equal treatment rule was written for. Has it ever been used this way?? Just. One more literally evil thing to add to the list
The USDA sent an email to grocery stores telling them they are prohibited from offering special discounts to customers affected by the SNAP funding lapse.
I'm aware of at least 2 stores that had offered struggling customers a discount, then withdrew it after receiving this email

Cities by definition have new people moving in if they’re healthy. You get a city where the only new residents are literal infants being born, your city is dying!
People who think you have to be born here to count are extremely suspect and I question how far their nativism goes 👀

When I moved to Minneapolis in the mid-aughts, it was really difficult to make friends. People from other states didn’t get it.
Now the bias is front and center in my city politics. If I’m a resident who “just got here,” do I matter less to Josh?
