These things are notorious for having a battery that goes bad / bulges to the extent that it cracks the screen. Also very hard to change battery. So i hope yours is still ok :)

In the netherlands that's mainly because of unsustainable subsidies (cheap solar generated in summer could be crossed out against expensive non-solar power in winter). But that's changing soon and a lot of people will have to pay to deliver generated power to the grid.

So letsel say the entire population does this and gets a net zero energy bill at the end of the year; who'se paying for the grid? The situation you're describing is nice on a personal level for now but in the long term bigger picture it just can't work like that if you still want a grid

In my experience they usually are a blast for straight people too! Although i'm not sure they would be too happy with a straight-invasion there.
